The fully automatic folder gluer stitcher consists of five main sections: the feeding section, folding section, stitching section, counting and delivery section, and electrical control section.

The machine adopts a PLC control system with touchscreen data input, while the stitching section is driven by servo motors, providing simple, reliable and precise operation.

The entire machine adopts a modular frame structure with synchronized front and rear adjustment. It supports job storage and one-touch job changeover, significantly improving production efficiency.

Unlike conventional separate folder gluer and stitcher units, the stitching and gluing systems can be automatically separated and switched between gluing, stitching, or combined gluing and stitching modes. The left and right lateral movement and independent operation of the stitching and gluing units make machine adjustment more convenient and efficient.

A. Feeding Section

The feeding section adopts high-wear-resistant suction belts, with independent vacuum adjustment for each belt. This ensures stable suction and reliable sheet feeding.

A dual-drive servo-controlled front and rear feeding system is used. Each sheet is independently and precisely conveyed through the front and rear feeding sections, providing more accurate positioning.

The front guide plate can be electrically adjusted from left to right, while the front feeding section is also electrically adjustable to accommodate different carton sizes, making operation fast and convenient.

For gluing, the machine uses a knurled roller bottom-gluing system, which provides uniform glue application, prevents missed areas and reduces glue consumption.

The gluing section is equipped with upper and lower secondary pre-pressing devices for the carton flap, helping achieve more accurate and consistent carton forming.

B. Folding Section

The folding section is equipped with pre-creasing and multiple heavy-duty pressing rollers. The corrugated board is re-creased along the existing crease lines to improve folding quality and make the finished cartons more attractive.

From the leading edge of the sheet to the stitching section, the machine uses a continuous vacuum conveying system. The cartons are firmly held against the conveying belts, preventing misalignment and surface scratches.

This design provides particularly effective protection for laminated and UV-coated cartons, while ensuring stable sheet alignment.

It effectively addresses the limitations commonly encountered when producing both high-end and standard cartons on fully automatic equipment.

C. Alignment Section

An automatic carton squaring device is installed between the folding section and stitching section. Before stitching, the folded carton is aligned and squared again to ensure that the finished carton is properly formed without scissor-effect deviation.

The alignment section adopts independent upper and lower servo motors for precise carton squaring.

After alignment, the carton is compressed and conveyed into the stitching section by synchronous belts, ensuring accurate carton positioning and high-quality stitching.

D. Stitching Section

The continuous-motion stitching head is manufactured from special wear-resistant materials, providing stable operation and extended service life.

The maximum stitching speed can reach 1,300–1,500 stitches per minute.

The stitching head is directly driven by an imported servo motor, providing high-speed, stable and precise operation.

The stitching wire is supplied automatically from two 20 kg wire coils, reducing wire replacement frequency and minimizing downtime during production.

E. Counting and Stacking Section

The machine automatically counts, aligns, stacks and delivers the finished cartons according to the quantity preset on the touchscreen control system.

This ensures neat stacking, accurate quantity control and efficient finished-carton handling.
